Adoption Fee: None - thanks to Middie's Guardian Angel!
There are some special PAWS rules that apply to FIV+ cats:
PAWS may consider placing a cat testing positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) into a home environment in which it is known that the cat will be brought into direct contact with an FIV negative cat(s). Placements are considered on a case by case basis and depend largely on the personality of the PAWS cat and owned cat(s). Cat(s) with a propensity to fight, bite, or aggressive play will not be placed together as the likelihood of FIV transmission is greatly increased. Adopters are encouraged to consult with their veterinarian and research FIV before adoption.
To learn more about cats that test positive for FIV, you can talk to one of the PAWS adoption counselors or look at the website of the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine at https://goo.gl/T9nVFu.
