Male - neutered
Domestic shorthair,
DOB: EST 10/15/10

- May do well in a home with quiet, older children, a submissive female cat, and/or a quiet, mellow dog.
- Surrendered to PAWS because he wasn't a good fit for his family.

Squishy Pickle's holiday foster mom says he was immediately comfortable and happy in her home. "Squishy has settled in and is a pleasure to have as my foster this year. He greets visitors and then settles down and watches everything that goes on. He's lively at night, running around and exploring. I play with him every evening, and he really enjoys the feather wand. Squish is already curling up next to me in bed. And – drum roll please! – he trusts me enough to rub his tummy! He is really a loving boy. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a loving, only cat." You can make the Squish's acquaintance whenever we're open.

Please note that Squishy was unhappy, grumpy, and growly in his former home. At PAWS, he's curious and friendly but upset by loud noises. Thus, we think he'll do best with cat-savvy adopters in a quiet, adults-only home.

Guardian Angel Program Tulip

As a gift to my future family in memory of a former PAWS cat named Rosie, my PAWS Guardian Angel has generously paid my adoption fee.

Female - spayed
Domestic medium hair, black & white tuxedo
DOB: EST 7/6/06

- Should do well in a home with one submissive cat; dogs unknown.
- Probably would be happiest as an only cat.
- Would not do well in a home with children.
- Owner passed away.

Hello, my name is Victoria Ashington-Smythe, but my friends call me Tulip because of my great beauty. You may call me Miss Tulip.

I am in search of a human to assist me in escaping from my current, unfortunate situation, living as I am at PAWS, the equivalent, in my opinion, of one of those dreary chain hotels for humans, a Ritz Carlton perhaps. As a cat of great sensitivity and discriminating taste, I find the lack of amenities here to be completely appalling. I am forced to SHARE A ROOM with cats of a distinctly lower social class than that to which I am accustomed. The food I am given comes from a can or a bag. There is NO fresh food whatsoever. The staff are sometimes late with my daily grooming session. Visitors come and go at all hours, and they seem to be compelled to touch my fur, although given my great beauty, it is understandable that they cannot resist me.

As a consequence to all of the above, I frequently feel peevish, sometimes downright short-tempered. I have been known to…nip…when a visitor ignores my swishing tail and persists in petting me. If someone – feline or human – annoys me, I may deem him or her as beneath my notice and simply turn away. If I am well and truly offended I will fix him or her with a terrifying glare that makes me proud to be of the feline species.

In short, you must rescue me immediately. I will require a quiet household with no small children, a comfortable bed with a firm mattress, and premium cat food. One submissive feline household member will be tolerated, but I much prefer that the household staff’s attention be focused solely upon my needs.

Given the appropriate household and staff, I expect to be not only contented but also quite pleasant. You may apply for the privilege of making me happy during PAWS open hours.

[Tulip will pick her person. She likes some of her "staff" after she gets to know them, sitting on their laps, accepting pets, and purring. She may do quite well in a quiet home with a cat savvy person.]

- Returned to PAWS because adopter was allergic.

Wallaby is a big, handsome, friendly dude! He adores having his head scratched, and he'll happily rub against your legs looking for attention. He's a fan of string toys and little mice but, above all, Wallaby loves laps. And if you lie down on the floor, he may stretch out on top of you! Stop by and get to know Wallaby on Saturday or Sunday.

Please note that Wallaby's former foster mom says he startles at loud noises or quick movements, so he may do best in a quiet home.

Female - spayed
Domestic shorthair, brown tabby
DOB: EST 11/15/08

- Front declawed.
- Should do well in a home with children, other cats, and/or dogs. Would like to be only cat or with an older, mellow cat.
- Owner was no longer able to care for her.

Gigi's holiday foster dad said Gigi enjoyed her vacation! “It took Gigi a few days to get comfortable in our home, but when she came out from under the bed, she really enjoyed being petted and playing. Gigi LOVES lying on her back and playing with balls or small stuffed cat toys. By the end of the first week, we were able to slowly re-introduce her to our two dogs and Gigi’s foster sister, Hermione. Gigi had free rein of the house from that point forward. She would still sometimes sleep underneath the bed, but would also sleep in her cat bed or on top of the human beds. Gigi became very comfortable roaming around our home over the past week.”

You can stop by and meet Gigi whenever we're open.

Hi, I’m Sparky, and I’d like to tell you about myself. I’m very affectionate, and I love attention. In fact, when you pet me, I’ll jump up like a kangaroo to meet your hand! My favorite things are perching in a window so I can watch the world outside and…FOOD. I really love my food! I hope you’ll come visit me. Hello there! I’m Spunky, and I’m supposed to tell you about myself. Hmmm, let me see. I’m two years old, so I’m right in the prime of life. I’m handsome, of course. That goes without saying! I have a cute, high-pitched meow, I'm gentle, and when I gaze at you, begging for attention, it’s gonna melt your heart! I always want to be the highest cat on the cat tree. I’m not that into other cats, but I get along with them OK, and when I was a kid, I loved to wrestle with my brothers. (Not so much now, it messes up my fur.)

Molly Weasley

Female - spayed
Domestic shorthair, orange tabby
DOB: EST 6/1/15

- Should do well in a quiet home with children, another female cat, and/or a dog.
- Was unhappy in her former small home with two cats and a dog.

Hi, I'm Molly Weasley. I'm named after a Harry Potter character with red hair, so I guess my name kind of makes sense. Molly Weasley is pretty brave, though, and she's a mom with a whole bunch of noisy kids. I'm not very brave, and I sure don't like noise, so when I stay at PAWS on weekends, my most favorite place is underneath my cat bed where you can't see me and I can't see you! People say I'm a gentle soul, though, and that I wouldn't hurt a flea, so I guess I'm a pretty darn nice cat. If you'd like to visit me, please come to PAWS on Saturday or Sunday. I'd like to meet you -- really! I'll even peek out from under my cat bed to say hello. =^..^=

- Stray. Rescuer was unable to keep her.

Hi, I'm Purrl and my name is a pun. You noticed, huh? They LOVE puns here at PAWS. Frankly, it makes all of us cats roll our eyes. (Seriously. Purrfect. Purrky. Furever home.) But on the subject of eyes, mine are beautiful AND two different colors. And my thick white fur is beautiful, too. If you'd like to stop by and admire me, I'll be here whenever PAWS is open.

Oh, and the humans here wanted me to mention that I have a beautiful, affectionate purrsonality, too!

Forrest Gump said, "Mama always said life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." But at PAWS, we know life is really like a box of crayons. Open the box of Crayons Kittens, and inside you’ll find silly, playful, sweet-tempered, rambunctious, affectionate kittens! So, grab your coloring books and come to PAWS to look at our Crayons. We recommend adopting at least two Crayons so your Crayons don’t get lonely. (Besides, how much fun is it to color with only one crayon?)

You can meet Jade whenever we're open and Sunburst, Plum, Tangerine and Mango on Saturdays and Sundays.

Please note: Names do not reflect color of kittens. Please see crayon box for additional details.

- Should do well in in a home with children, other cats, and/or dogs.

Hi! My name is Ciao and I’m going to tell you about myself. My foster mom told me my name means Hi AND Bye! Isn’t that cool? And when you say my name, you say it like this – Chow. Chow is like food, right? Do you have any treats you can give me?

OK, so I like to eat and I like to play but I most especially like to snuggle. My foster mom says I’m a world class snuggler and a soft, cuddly lap kitten with a sweet personality. That's good, right?

If you think you might want me to be your lap kitten, you can come to PAWS and snuggle with me on Saturday or Sunday. =^..^=

Hammy's guiding force is exuberance! He's a happy guy who loves to play and loves people. You absolutely can't be sad around Hammy. Merely being with him is a pick-me-up -- like a sunny day in spring with a blue sky and puffy, white clouds, he will put a smile on your face and joy in your heart!

Hammy's holiday foster mom says Hammy is very, very affectionate. She calls him the, "naughtiest, most adorable cat on earth! Hammy absolutely loves biting his catnip toys and then running around the room like a crazed maniac. He loves pouncing on his foster brother, Kudo, to get him to play. Hammy also loves randomly climbing onto your lap and curling up, especially while you’re trying to get some work done!.”

Hammy can't wait to play with you. You can visit him during our open hours.
