Ace's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hello future family! My name is Ace and I am a 1.5-year-old neutered Black Lab who weighs 65 pounds. I am a very friendly boy, but I tend to be shy at first. I am good with other dogs and would do best in a home with older or no children. My Pet Partner says I'm a very intelligent boy and I already know commands for "sit", "paw", "high five", "down", "circle", and "stay". She also says I can be a real snuggle bunny. At this point, it is unknown whether I am good with cats or not. I am both house broken and crate trained. I have severe allergies that are being maintained with allergy medication, antibiotics and a strict grain free-novel protein diet. My adopters will have to manage my skin condition through diet and vet recommendations. I will receive FREE training from the PAWS Good Dog Fund upon adoption. I am living at the center, so I can be seen any time that PAWS is open. I hope to see you soon!

I also can get frightened at times, so I am looking for a family who will know what to do and not overreact when I get scared. In order to help me become the best dog that I can, I will receive FREE training through the Good Dog Fund. I am both housebroken and crate trained and after a full day of play, I love nothing more than to relax with a bone or cuddle with my person. Hey there! My name is Clementine. I am a very sweet 2.5-year-old spayed American Bulldog mix who weighs about 55 pounds. I am very friendly and am good with other dogs and cats! I have been around children as young as 4 and do well with them, so I can be placed in a home with children about 4 and up. No children? Well that's okay by me, I like grown up people just fine too! I absolutely LOVE to cuddle on the couch until it's time to go outside! When we get outside, then I LOVE to go go go. The PAWS volunteers say that I am a very smart girl because I am both housebroken and crate trained and I am doing a great job at mastering commands like "sit," "down," and "come". When I first came to PAWS, well, my skin was a mess! Over the weeks, the volunteers at PAWS have taken care of me by clearing up my non-contagious skin condition with medication and two medicated baths every week. I am a good girl for my baths because I know it helps me feel better. Plus I get a treat when I'm good which I love. I'm always ready for some peanut butter! I recently moved into a new foster home where I found out that I am almost done with having to get my baths and that I'm allowed to stay there til I'm adopted, but get to come to PAWS every Sunday to meet people who might want to take me home forever. That sounds great because it is so fun to meet new people.

I also know commands for "sit", "speak", "go to bed" and "high-5"! In my foster home, I am working on the command for "down". I am living in a foster home, so I can be seen at the Sunday showings from 12pm to 2pm.

Copper

Copper's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hello! My name is Copper and I am a friendly 5-year-old neutered Red Bone Coonhound mix who weighs about 60 pounds. I came to PAWS from the Huntingdon County Humane Society; however, I was originally found as a stray. I am good with other dogs, but I am not so good with cats. I am a very strong dog and I tend to pull on the leash when on my regular Martingale collar because I am very scent driven. However, I am currently working on my leash training through the PAWS Pet Partner Program and walking very nicely with my Gentle Leader. I am also working on the basics of house breaking. Since I was found as a stray, the volunteers at PAWS think that it would be best to place me in a home with older or no children. I am proud to announce that in my foster home, I behave like a true gentleman. I don't bark at all, unless I am asked, “Do you want to go outside?” That makes me very excited and so I run straight to the door! When I am left alone in the house, I behave very well. My foster mom and dad are working with me on crate training. It's new to me, but I'm smart and brave, so am learning quickly. I am also a real snuggle bug! I LOVE to cuddle on the couch, but I am also perfectly happy when lying on the floor. I am living in a foster home, so I can be seen at PAWS during the Sunday showings from 12pm – 2pm.

Hello! My name is Courage. I am an energetic 2-year-old spayed Yellow Lab/Golden Retriever mix who weighs 42 pounds. Previously, I have lived with other dogs, children, and cats. Even though I am very friendly, I may do best in a home with older children because I have a lot of energy and tend to jump up. I also wouldn't mind a home with just adults. I was rescued from a bad situation where I was not allowed to go out regularly, so I will need a refresher on house breaking in my new home. I will also need to work on the basics of crate training. I am living at the center, so I can be seen any time that PAWS is open!

Ghost

Ghost

Ghost's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Ghost is a 9-month-old neutered Great Dane/lab mix puppy who already weighs 90 pounds. Despite his size, he is a gentle giant like most Great Danes, and he seems to be past most of his puppy adolescent behavior. Ghost is housebroken and rides great in a car. He walks well on a leash and is wonderful off-leash as well. He will require a skilled owner to help him overcome his fear of new people, particularly men. Socialization should help with this, but he needs only gentle, positive training since GDs are such a sensitive breed. Ghost gets along well with other dogs (he goes to Sporty Dog Day Care, where he plays well with the other dogs), with cats, and even with chickens. He doesn't like to be left alone, so a home with someone around a lot or with another dog would be best. Ghost is living in a foster home, so he can be seen Sundays from noon to 2:00 pm.

Ginger Bread

Ginger Bread

Ginger Bread's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hi! My name is Ginger Bread and I am a very sweet 5-year-old spayed Beagle mix. When I came to PAWS, I was going through a very difficult time. Both my owner and the other dog that I lived with passed away. This made me very sad! I thought that I had found my forever home when I was rescued from a landfill as a puppy, but once again I am looking for a home. I have never been around young children, so I will only be placed in a home with older or no children. I am good with other dogs, I have never met another dog that I didn't like. I am so mellow that practically every dog becomes my buddy. I am very curious of cats and tend to chase after them, some of them might warrant a bark or two. I am a very smart girl and already know several commands, including how to shake hands... er, paws! I am house broken and am doing very well learning the basics of crate training in my foster home. In my previous home, I was allowed to roam around outside during the day; however, my foster parents have no problem leaving me out in the house. I do not jump up on furniture, but am happy to snuggle when I am invited. I love going on walks and do not pull on the leash. I am perfectly happy going at whatever pace my foster parents set. I am living in a foster home, so I can be seen at PAWS during the Sunday showings from 12pm to 2pm.

I will need to be spayed prior to adoption. I am living in a foster home, so I can be seen at PAWS during the Sunday showings from 12pm to 2pm. I hope to see you soon!

I am living at the center, but I will not be available until all of my vaccinations are up-to-date.

Highway

Highway

Highway's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hi Everyone, I'm Highway! I'm a 3-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix. Although I'm a little guy, weighing in at just 25 pounds, I will bring a lot of love and fun to my new family! Originally, I was found as a stray and was residing at the Huntingdon Humane Society before I came to PAWS. My Pet Partner says I'm a wonderful little guy who has a lot to offer! I LOVE to go on walks, play with toys, learn commands (I know "sit", "down", and I'm working on "stay"), play fetch, and go on car rides. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE treats! Typical of my breed, I am very smart and active. I get along with some other dogs, but can play rough and sometimes want to herd them. I'm great with people and older children. I even met a cat at PAWS and did well, but since I'm a herding breed I may want to chase them once I'm in a home. I'm pretty much housetrained and I'm working on my crate training. But who wants to spend time in a crate when there are so many fun things to do? I'd love to meet you, so stop by PAWS any time they are open and ask for me...Highway, or as some of my friends refer to me - Mr. H.

Holly

Holly

Holly's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hi! My name is Holly and I am an active 8-year-old spayed Husky/Collie mix. I enjoy going on long walks and playing games like fetch and tug-of-war. I am a very family-oriented girl and love all people. I like to cuddle, although sometimes I get too hot. I am looking for a home where I can be the only dog; however, I wouldn't mind having a feline friend to live with. I am house broken, but I am not crate trained. I already know commands for "sit", "stay", and "shake"! I am living in a foster home, so if you would like to meet me, I can be seen at PAWS during the Sunday showings from 12pm to 2pm. I hope to see you soon!

Honey

Honey's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hello, future family! My name is Honey and I am a very sweet 5-year-old spayed Beagle/Hound mix who was rescued from being abandoned. Even though I was tied outside for my entire life, my foster family is proud to report that I am both house broken and crate trained! I really enjoy going for walks and am quickly learning to walk nicely using an Easy Walk harness; I barely pull now. I am a very loving, affectionate, cooperative, and friendly girl who is good with people of all ages, other dogs, and even cats! I know the commands "sit" and "lay down", and cooperate well for a bath. I don't bark in the house, nor on walks, unless I'm playing with my foster Dad, who is showing me how to play with some toys. I have a deep bark! My foster parents think I'm a delight and that I'm really easy to get along with; I'm almost always wagging my tail and am eager to please. I am living in a foster home, so I can be seen at PAWS during the Sunday showings from 12pm to 2pm. I hope to see you real soon!

Honey

Honey's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hi there! My name is Honey. I am a very friendly 2-year-old spayed Treeing Walker Coonhound. I am good with children, other dogs, and even cats! I am so good that I can even be walked by a 5-year-old little girl! I am looking for a family who will have time to work with me because I can be an escape artist and I need help with house breaking. I can be anxious when left home alone, but I do much better when I am with another dog. I am crate trained; however, I may chew the bedding while I am in the crate. When I came to PAWS, my leg was splinted because of an injured ligament, but now my splint is off and I am doing great! I just need to take it easy when going for walks until I am 100% recovered. I am living at the center, so I can be seen any time that PAWS is open!

I also walk very well on a leash. I have a little bit of separation anxiety, but it is unnoticeable when I am with other dogs. Therefore, I would probably do best in a home with other dogs. Hello future family! My name is Jackson and I am a neutered 7-year-old Cattledog/Coonhound mix. I am a very well mannered dog and am good with other dogs, children, and even cats! I am house broken, but I cannot be crated because I can escape out of them. Luckily, I am very well behaved in the house as long as the trash is out of reach and the windows are closed. I know several commands ... this is my reaction to 'sit pretty'. If I sound like the right dog for your family, please come see me on Sundays from 11 am to 4 pm - I'm living with my foster family now but they spend most of Sundays at the center.

Jake

Jake

Jake's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hello potential family, my name is Jake and I am a 3-year-old neutered Black Lab/Boxer mix. My owners adopted me two years ago, but now I am looking for a new home. It's not that they didn't love me, it's just that they believed that I would be more comfortable in a home where I would receive more attention. Pease don't think that I don't enjoy people, dogs, and cats.... because I DO! It's just that I need special attention when it comes to a routine schedule of food, water, outside time, and playtime. My favorite thing is to snuggle in close, give kisses, and love you. Peanut-butter filled Kongs and my laser pointer are my most favorite things in the whole entire world! If I can have a set schedule and those three things, I will be the happiest dog on the planet! I also enjoy my crate when you need to run errands. Oh, don't be surprised if you see me hop on my back legs across the yard with my nose pointed at the sky after a flying bird, it's just what I do. I am living in a foster home, so if you would like to meet me, I can be seen at PAWS during the Sunday showings from 12pm to 2pm.

Jasper's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hi future family! My name is Jasper and I am a neutered 9-month-old Beagle who weighs 35 pounds. I came to PAWS from the Mount Nittany Veterinary Hospital. When I first came to PAWS, I was on strict cage rest for 2 months because I had been hit by a car, which crushed my pelvis and broke my tail. Now, I am feeling much better, but I still have a low-activity level. As of now, it looks like I will always have an abnormal gait. Even though I have had a rough start, I am an extremely sweet and happy puppy who is good with children and other dogs. At this point, it is unknown whether I would be good with cats or not. I have very good manners, although sometimes I can be a bit mouthy, which may be due to my age or pent up energy. I am also both house broken and crate trained. London

London's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hey there! My name is London and I am a young Lab/German Shepherd mix who weighs 47 pounds. I came to Centre County PAWS from the Huntingdon Humane Society. However, I was originally found as a stray. I am good with children and other dogs; however, it is unknown whether I am good with cats or not. Like other young dogs, I need to learn the basics of house breaking and crate training. I will need to be neutered prior to adoption. I am living at the center, so I can be seen any time that PAWS is open!

Lou Lou

Lou Lou's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hello! My name is Lou Lou and I am a 7-year-old spayed Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua mix who weighs 15 pounds. I am very smart and already know commands for sit, shake, and dance! I am both house broken and crate trained, using a wire crate. I came to PAWS with my son, Merphy. Although I can be adopted separately from him, I would really like to be adopted with him since I have spent the last six years of my life with him. I tend to playfully nip when I want attention, so I may be better off in a home without very young children. I am good with other dogs and cats! I am living in a foster home, so I can be seen during the Sunday showings from 12pm to 2pm. My foster family had this to say about me, "Lou Lou is wonderful with other dogs. She enjoys children, although sometimes she needs her own space. Lou Lou is very laidback and easy. She is also very loyal in her foster home. Lou Lou would do well if adopted alone. She is a very good watchdog because she is very alert."

Mac

Mac's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Mac is a sweet and playful 8-month-old shepherd mix. Mac gets along well with other dogs and with cats, rides well in the car, is housebroken, and is working on crate training. His back leg was broken when he was younger and didn't heal properly, so he will always have a limp, but it doesn't slow him down at all and the orthopedic vet told us he is in no pain. Mac is neutered and up to date on his shots and is living in a foster home, so he can be seen Sundays from noon until 2.

Maggie

Maggie's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hi! My name is Maggie and I am a sweet 12-year-old Shepherd mix. I am good with children, other dogs, and even cats. I am house broken and even though I am not crate trained, I am very sweet, calm, and quiet in the home. Currently, I am recovering from a yeast infection in my ears and all over my skin. The PAWS volunteers have been helping me with this by providing me with special medicated baths. This condition should not return once treated or be a chronic condition. According to my blood-work, I am a very healthy girl considering my age! Since I am on the mend, I have a blue heart next to my name. You can click on it and donate toward the cost of my veterinary care. You see, PAWS has a lot of animals like me who need extra attention. Donating toward our care is a great cause and helps PAWS keep saving more lives! I will need to be spayed prior to adoption.

On 7/18/2012, Maggie was in a foster-to-adopt home when she sadly passed away. She lived out the last of her days happy and loved by everyone that she met.

Maggie's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hello, future family! My name is Maggie and I am an energetic 2-year-old spayed Shepherd/Lab mix. I came to PAWS from the Huntingdon County Humane Society; however, I was originally found as a stray. Therefore, not too much is known about my history. Because of this, I will only be placed in a home with older children. I am a very friendly girl who LOVES to play, although I may be too much for some other dogs. At this point, it is unknown whether I would be good with cats or not. I will need to work on house breaking and crate training in my new home, but I should learn very quickly. I am living at the center, so I can be seen any time that PAWS is open. I came to PAWS with my brother Dixon, and I would prefer to find a home with him; however, we can be adopted out separately. I am more dominant than my brother, but I am still a dear. I am good with older children and other dogs. I like to chase cats, but I may be good with a cat as long as the cat is "dog-savvy". I like to be brushed and cuddled; however, I don't really like having my nails clipped. I am both house broken and crate trained. However, I need some help with marking. I am living at the center, so I can be seen any time that PAWS is open!

Typical of my breed, I am very intelligent. Because of this, I can be an escape artist. I am crate trained, but I can escape out of them. I am also house broken. Max's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hello future family! My name is Max and I am a neutered 2-year-old Australian Shepherd who is full of young energy! Because of this, I may be too energetic for young children and may actually herd them. Therefore, I would do best in a home with older children. Metta

Metta's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Metta is a 1-year-old golden retriever whose name means "loving kindness." Playful and mild tempered, she still has lots of puppy energy. Unfortunately, Metta also has bad hips. To prevent her from getting arthritis, her owners will need to exercise her regularly, particularly walking her up hills on uneven terrain. She will also need to be trained to do certain exercises, which she will need to do daily, and be kept strictly at her ideal weight. Metta will need supplements and prescription food all her life, and may require other medical treatment for her hips as she gets older. Metta is spayed and is living in a foster home, where she is working on housebreaking. If you are willing and able to work with Metta, you will be rewarded with a simply fantastic canine companion. She can be seen on Sundays from noon to 2.

However, once I know my person, I am a very sweet, loving, and affectionate girl! I am also very good and well-mannered in the home. I am good with older children and other dogs, especially bigger dogs. In fact, when I was in a foster home, I was living with two large dogs. I am both house broken and crate trained. Hi! My name is Pansie and I am a sweet and energetic 2-year-old spayed Lab/Shar Pei mix who weighs 52 pounds. I absolutely LOVE all people! Like many other dogs, I really like playing fetch and I absolutely love water. I am afraid of some loud noises, like thunder and gun shots. I am both house broken and crate trained. In order to help me become the best dog that I can be, I will receive FREE training from the PAWS Good Dog Fund upon adoption to help me learn how to listen to my person and for my person to learn how to work with me. The PAWS volunteers think that this will make my next home my future home. I sure hope so too! I am living in a foster home, so I can be seen at PAWS during the Sunday showings from 12pm to 2pm. I hope to see you soon!

Pete

Pete

Pete's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hi there! My name is Pete. I am a 9-month-old German Shepherd/Labrador mix who weighs 99 pounds. I was originally living outdoors as a farm dog, so I will need to learn the basics of house manners, like house breaking and crate training. I am good with other dogs and I am even good with cats. Due to my size, the volunteers at PAWS think that it would be best to place me in a home with older children unless younger children are used to having such a large dog in the household. I will need to be neutered prior to adoption. I am living at the center, so I can be seen anytime that PAWS is open!

Precious

Precious' Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hi! My name is Precious. I am a very quiet and easy-going 6-year-old Border Collie/Shar Pei mix who weighs 62 pounds. I am good with children, other dogs, and I am even good with cats! Like many other dogs, I need to work on my crate training skills but I am working hard on this in my foster home. Since coming to PAWS, I found out that the reason I hadn't been feeling well in my old home is because I am diabetic. The volunteers have helped me to feel better and tell me that even though I have this medical quirk, a nice person is going to adopt me soon. I sure hope so! Right now, I am still pretty skinny, but I am happily working on gaining weight. If you aren't in a position to adopt me, you can help by donating toward my care. PAWS is looking to raise $80 a month to treat my diabetes. I am living in a foster home.

Psy

Psy

Psy's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hello! My name is Psy and I am a 5-year-old spayed Long Haired German Shepherd who weighs 65 pounds. I was originally a breeding dog, but my owner moved and couldn't take me with her. I am a very laid back dog who loves to be babied. When I came to PAWS, I was very skittish and did not like loud noises. Although I can still be a little bit skittish, I am doing much better with loud noises. I am very friendly and am good with children, other dogs, and even cats! I am also both house broken and crate trained. Recently, I tested positive for Canine Heartworm, which I was treated for. Heartworm is completely preventable and treatment is difficult for the dog and very costly for the owner. So, I strongly encourage you to talk to your vet about how to keep your dog healthy, happy, and heartworm free! If you would like to donate to my treatment, please click on the blue heart next to my picture. PAWS is hoping to raise $800 to cover the cost of my treatment. I am living in a foster, so I can be seen at PAWS during the Sunday showings from 12pm 2pm.

Rabbit's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hi there! My name is Rabbit and I am a neutered 9-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix who weighs 17 pounds. I am a very sweet boy who loves to play ball and cuddle, especially under the covers! Recently, I tested Lyme positive, which I will be on medication for so that I can get better in no time. I have been limping slightly, which may be caused by the Lyme. Although, my limping has been getting much better! I am good with children, although I would probably do best in an adult only home. I am good with cats, however, I tend to be dominant around other dogs. I am completely house broken and am working on my crate training in my foster home. I am living in a foster home, so I can be seen at PAWS during the Sunday showings from 12pm to 2pm.

Rex

Rex's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hi! My name is Rex. I am a 3-year-old Westipoo (West Highland/Poodle mix) who weighs 20 pounds. I came to PAWS from the Central PA Humane Society. I was originally found as a stray, so I will only be placed in a home with no children. I am good with other dogs and really love to be around people. Because of this, I may need help with separation anxiety in the future. I really do not like to be groomed, so I will need an owner who is willing to work with me on this since I will need to be groomed throughout my life. I will need to be neutered prior to adoption. I am living at the center, so I can be seen any time that PAWS is open!

Riley

Riley

Riley's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hello future family! My name is Riley and I am a 12-year-old neutered Hound mix. I am a very sweet boy who is great with young children, other dogs, and even cats! I am both house broken and crate trained. In my previous home, I was crated when I was going to be left alone. However, I am very well-behaved when left in the house alone. Like many other dogs, I am afraid of loud noises, like thunder and fireworks. I do have some difficulty with walking because of arthritis. Recently, I had abscessed teeth cleaned and removed as necessary. I also had some masses removed to improve my quality of life. Since I am an older gentleman and the traditional-style of showings tend to stress me out, I am able to meet by appointment with approved applicants who are able to give me the home that I need. Anyone interested in more information or potentially adopting me should contact PAWS at dogs@centrecountypaws.org.

Roscoe

Roscoe's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hi future family! My name is Roscoe and I am a sweet and adorable 6-year-old neutered German Short-Haired Pointer mix who weighs 45 pounds. People love my expressive eyes and soft ears, which suits me well because I LOVE to have my ears pet. I came to Centre County PAWS from the Central PA Humane Society. I am good with older children, other dogs, and even cats! I am actually a very friendly and loyal boy who likes to be close to my person or canine sibling. In fact, I would prefer a home where I could have a canine sibling, so we could play together. I am proud to say that I am both house broken and crate trained. I even learned how to "ask" to go outside! In my foster home, I have been left in the house alone for a few daytime hours and have behaved like a true gentleman. Although I can be a very good guard dog, I am actually quiet in the house! Like many other dogs, I like laying out in the sun and taking in all of the sights and sounds. I also LOVE to play with toys, especially my favorite rope-knot toy. If I sound like the right fit for your family, please come meet me at PAWS during the Sunday showings from 12pm to 2pm. I hope to see you real soon!

Rosemary

Rosemary's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

My name is Rosemary, and I'm the mother of the J Litter. They're mostly gone to their new homes now, and I'm ready to move on to my forever home and have the focus be on me! I'm a super-sweet, obedient, and playful girl who only weighs 25 pounds. My foster mom thinks I'm a redtick coonhound/terrier mix, but I don't really remember. All I know is I like to go on walks, so much so that sometimes I will climb the fence or dig under it to go if no one takes me. I like other dogs and don't mind the cats as long as they don't try to eat my food. I'll need to be spayed before I'm adopted, and I'll be up to date on shots. I hope you'll come and see me Sundays from noon to 2.

Roxy

Roxy's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hi! My name is Roxy. I am a very sweet and friendly 4-month-old Border Collie/Shepherd mix puppy. I am good with other dogs and cats, although I really like to chase and play with cats. In my previous home, I was herding the younger children and showing some signs of fear. Therefore, I may do better in a home with older children. I am both house broken and crate trained. In my foster home, I have not destroyed anything in the house and I am very good at staying off of the furniture. As long as I have lots of toys to play with and chew on, I will not chew household items. I especially love playing with my foster brother! Even though I am very playful, I am also happy when snuggling with my foster family. Since I am living in a foster home, I can be seen at PAWS during the Sunday showings from 12pm to 2pm.

Russ

Russ' Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hello! My name is Russ. I am a very sweet 4-year-old neutered Pug who weighs 16 pounds. I was originally a breeding dog, but now I am ready to spend the rest of my life as a companion dog! I am good with children, other dogs, and even cats! When I am happy, I make adorable purring noises, just like a cat would! Like other dogs, I need to learn the basics of house breaking. I am partially crate trained, but I don't like to be left in the crate. I have separation anxiety because I don't like to be left alone. When I am left alone, I tend to bark a lot, so I may not be an easy apartment dog. Having another furry friend may help my separation anxiety. Therefore, I may do best in a home with other animals. I am living at the center, so I can be seen any time that PAWS is open!

Wiley

Wiley

Wiley's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hello! My name is Wiley. I am a 5-year-old neutered German Shepherd/Husky mix who weighs about 80 pounds. Unlike the famous cartoon star, Wile E. Coyote, I am very sweet, gentle, and obedient. I LOVE to cuddle on the couch with my foster mom and have my belly scratched. I not only love attention, I crave it. I am house trained and can be left alone in the house without any problems. I am great with dogs of all sizes, but I do have a strong prey drive, so I need to be kept on a leash or in a fenced in yard at all times. Because of this prey drive, I will not be able to live with cats. In the past, I did snap at someone, but that was a very unusual circumstance and I haven't been aggressive towards people since. I am looking for a home with older or no children. My foster mom reports that I am an absolute joy to have around. Recently, I ruptured my ACL, which PAWS took care of! Since I am completely recovered, I am ready for my new forever home. I am living in a foster home, so I can be seen at the center during the Sunday showings from 12pm to 2pm.

Willoughby

Willoughby's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

My name is Willoughby, "Willie" for short, and I'm a cute mixed breed 3.5-month-old girl puppy. When I first came to my foster home, I liked people but was very afraid of other dogs. Not any more! I can run and play with them all, and I'm actually kind of bossy. My foster mom tells me that's not always a good idea since so many dogs are bigger than me, but that's just the way I am! I think I want to grow up to be the leader of a pack. I'm working on housebreaking and crate-training. I'm already spayed, and I will be up-to-date on all my shots when I'm adopted. Please stop by and see me Sundays from noon to 2 and check out my fun different colored eyes. I think they make me look very interesting!

Zach

Zach

Zach's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Hi there! My name is Zach and I am a very sweet 2-year-old Hound mix who weighs 55 pounds. I'm a very loving and friendly boy who is good with people of all ages! I am proving to be a smart boy and am very eager to learn. I'm quickly learning the commands "sit", "paw", how to greet people calmly "off", and to "sit and wait" at the door when being leashed. I now know "go to bed" and am doing well with crate training. I like Kongs, hard chewy toys, rope knots, and tennis balls. I also like stuffed toys; however, I tend to play surgeon with them, so I need close supervision with stuffed toys! I am a true gentleman and am respectful of things in the house. I occasionally let out a little "woof"; however, I am very quiet both in the house and outside - even when I see squirrels, rabbits, or other dogs! I love playing with my foster canine siblings and reportedly get along fine with cats and chickens. I walk well with an Easy Walk harness. My foster family realizes I have a lot of potential - I hope my forever family will continue to teach me new manners and tricks - it keeps me entertained! I am living in a foster home, so I can be seen at PAWS during the Sunday showings from 12pm to 2pm. I hope to see you real soon!
