Hi Future Adopter!

I’ve been waiting a long time for my forever home, so I’ve decided to take matters into my own paws and explain why you should adopt me! Here’s what I want you to know about me:

- I like it a lot when you pay attention to me, as long as you’re gentle when you pet me.
- Once I get to know you really well, I will greet you by rubbing up against your legs or even jumping onto your lap.
- I like my peace and quiet, but even when noisy kids pet me, I’m OK with it, as long as they’re not rough. They’re just being kids! I haven’t forgotten what it’s like to be a kitten!
- I don’t like to be picked up, especially if someone tries to hold me tightly. You’ll know I’m unhappy because I’ll twitch my tail and get all growly. Pay attention and put me down already!
- I’m not a fan of other cats, so I ignore them. If other cats get too pushy, I let them know with a hiss and a raised paw that I don’t tolerate any shenanigans!
- I would be really happy as an only cat.
- I would be really happy to be your loyal, affectionate, little fur buddy!

Please come to PAWS whenever we’re open and give me a chance to leap onto your lap and into your heart!

Purrs,
Bella

- Curious and gregarious.
- A terrific cat with a delightful personality! And look at those big, round eyes! They're saying, "Oh please! I NEED a treat"!

Black Kat is a friendly, lively boy with lots of energy for play and a love of treats! He lets you know how glad he is to see you by running to the door, his tail held high, and by rubbing against your legs when you give him a scratch behind the ears. Volunteers have found that once you’ve earned his trust, he’ll even jump on your lap and allow himself to be picked up. Black Kat makes friends with all the cats who share his space, and would be happiest in a home with other friendly cats.

Black Kat is available for visits whenever we're open.

Boo Boo

Boo Boo

Boo Boo's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Male – neutered
Domestic shorthair, black ticked tabby w/white feet, polydactyl
DOB: EST 4/4/04

- Should do well in a home with quiet, older kids, other cats, and with a dog.
- Owner passed away and family was unable to care for Boo Boo.
- Sweet, good-natured, and craves attention!

Boo Boo has an affectionate, engaging personality. In fact, we call him "Mr. Charisma" because he's so charming! His former foster mom says he's independent, affectionate, opinionated, sweet, adventurous, inquisitive, and very vocal when he wants attention or when he wants food.

When Boo Boo arrived at PAWS, he was a mess – skinny, dirty, and covered with mats. He needed dental work and surgery for an eye condition called entropion that prevented him from opening his eyes. Boo Boo had surgery on his eyelids and dental treatment. He’s gained weight and received a flattering haircut to remove his matted fur! Boo Boo has a whole new lease on life, and he can see!

In short, Boo Boo is a wonderful cat who deserves a warm, safe, forever home with an adopter who will shower him with love and attention. If that sounds like you, come on over to PAWS whenever we’re open and ask for Boo Boo.

She has to be approached first, but when you embrace her, she wants nothing more than to sit in your lap, be petted, and purr. She will tolerate my puppy, but doesn't want to play (surprise!), and shows no signs of fear.

“Boots feels most comfortable in some kind of enclosed shelter -- for instance, at PAWS, she loves hanging out in her "cube", and at my house, she will spend most of the day curled up inside of a loosely rolled fitness mat.”

Boots will be waiting to meet you on Saturday and Sunday.

- Should do well in a home with other cats; dogs unknown.
- We don’t yet know if Calvin will do well with children.

The important thing you need to know about Calvin is that he is sweet. Calvin is sweetness with four legs and a tail. He follows visitors about the room, and if there’s no one in the room, he waits patiently by the door for company to stop by. He loves to be petted. He loves to snuggle. He is a little love.

Calvin was a mess when he arrived at PAWS. He was whisked off to the vet for neutering, removal of one eye, a dental, and a haircut! He’s been a little trooper throughout his treatment and recovery, but he's not the handsomest cat here at the moment! We think he’s adorably cute, though, and his little purple coat gives him an undeniable je ne sais quoi. No?

You can have the pleasure of making Calvin's company whenever we’re open.

Update from Cheyanne’s foster mom! “Cheyanne runs to the door to greet anyone who enters, and is happy to sit in a chair and have you pet her. She isn’t crazy about being carried around, but she’s happy to be held for a minute or two. More and more of her personality keeps being revealed. I think she would thrive in a quieter home – not that she’s not good with kids or people, but her natural sweet personality really shines through when she is comfortable. An adopter may need to be patient in order to see her true personality shine.”

“She's fine around our Beagle and our other foster cats. She has gotten along with all of the foster cat roommates she has had – male or female.”

So if you’re looking for a sweet and beautiful cat, Cheyanne might be your fur-girl. Keep in mind that you won’t meet the “real” Cheyanne at PAWS, but now you know what she’ll be like when you take her home – a loyal, loving companion! You can meet Cheyanne on Saturday or Sunday.

DOB: EST 8/13/15

- Should do well in a home with older children, other cats, and dogs.
- Stray. Rescuer was unable to keep him.

Christopher's foster family adores him! Read what his foster mom has to say:

"Christopher is a sleek, almost regal black “teenage” kitten. He is playful, as all kittens are, but cautious. He loves a laser pointer and crinkly toys. He doesn’t always want human contact, but when he does, he hunkers down and waits to be picked up – but don’t pick him up unless you have time to spend – he will sit on your lap and happily be held and petted for 10-30 minutes! When he’s done soaking up all the love, he jumps down and plays again. Christopher’s a little slower than some to warm up to his humans, but once he does, it’s magical. He is affectionate but not clingy. He gets along with other cats, regardless of their personality, and he doesn’t mind dogs. He is curious. He’s NOT a loud cat – I’m not sure I’ve ever actually heard him meow. He has a lovely purr, however. He will make someone a lovely companion – he is quite content to sit next to you while you work or watch television. He would be fine being an only cat or being one of several. He is a very laid-back cat and truly a joy."

You can meet Christopher on Saturday or Sunday.

(He has a little limp but jumps, runs, and plays with absolutely no problem.) They're both cuddly and fun boys and would be happy to be adopted together or individually. You can visit Cracker and Cheez Whiz whenever we're open.

Dawn & Aurora

Dawn & Aurora

Dawn & Aurora's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Females - spayed
Domestic shorthairs, calicos
DOB: EST 9/25/08

- Should do well in a home with other cats; dogs unknown.
- We don't yet know if Dawn & Aurora would do well in a home with children.
- Abandoned at a local business.

At left is Aurora.

Dawn & Aurora are sweet sisters who love attention and who love each other. In fact, they're so attached to one another that they may be a bonded pair. Just what is a bonded pair?

Cats can become deeply attached to each other and form strong bonds, just like humans do. Dawn & Aurora may have such a bond, meaning they’d be very unhappy if they were separated. We’re currently evaluating whether they're bonded, but, for now, please regard them as a package deal!

Adopting Dawn & Aurora together is a win-win situation for all of you! They (and you!) will live happily ever after together, and you will have two kitties who already get along and who will keep each other company when you're not home, so you won't worry that they're bored or lonely. Best of all, you'll have twice the amount of love in your life!

You can meet Dawn & Aurora on Saturday and Sunday.

Although Diamond will need a little time to settle into her forever home, we predict she'll become an affectionate companion for her new person or family. If you'd like to meet Diamond, stop by whenever we're open. We bet she'll put a sparkle in your eye!

Diesel

Diesel

Diesel's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Male - neutered
Domestic shorthair, black & white
DOB: EST 7/1/13

- Front declawed
- Should do well in a home with kids and dogs.

Diesel is a lovable, fun guy who likes to have his belly rubbed. And he's also extremely handsome and awesomely cuddly! If you'd like to meet him, just rev up your engine and motor on over to PAWS whenever we're open.

Please note that Diesel’s former owner said he was unhappy indoors, and she had a difficult time keeping him inside the house. However, because Diesel has been declawed, he must stay safely indoors. Diesel’s adopter will need to provide Diesel with a fun, stimulating indoor environment and work with him to get him to accept an indoor lifestyle. We encourage you to discuss with a PAWS Adoption Counselor how you can help Diesel become a contented indoor cat.

DOB: EST 4/19/16

- Should do well in a home with children, other cats, and/or dogs.
- Born to a stray mom. Rescuer was unable to keep him.

If you're interested in adopting Diez ("Ten" in Spanish), you can play with him on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday!

Doce's foster mom says Doce is the sweetest little girl she's ever fostered! "She will, like Concord, follow me around. The cutest thing is when she sits in the kitchen with me and watches me cook. Doce LOVES to walk around on my shoulders. Her little "meow" of happiness when I go to pet her is so satisfying, knowing she is content. She loves her foster siblings and loves to play. She is such a snuggle bug. Once she hears me go into bed, she will be right up there with me at my feet."

Be sure to meet Doce ("Twelve" in Spanish) when you visit PAWS on Saturday or Sunday!

Dottie

Dottie

Dottie's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Female - spayed
Domestic shorthair, white w/lots of pretty, black splotches
DOB: EST 5/16/12

- Should do well in a home with older, quiet kids and other cats; dogs unknown.
- Abandoned on a front porch when she was a kitten.
- Very shy but gentle and sweet.

Dottie is funny and playful, and she's so pretty! But she’s been with us since she was a kitten for the simple reason that she’s exceptionally shy. She doesn't like noise and fuss, so when there’s activity in the room or when people she doesn’t know approach her, she skedaddles!

If you’d like to get to know Dottie, ask a volunteer for some treats to win her over. The other cats will gather around like a flock of ducklings, so you'll need extras. Give her a few minutes to decide if she can trust you before you reach out to her. It will take time, but Dottie is a kitty who’s worth your time.

Dottie needs a cat-savvy adopter with a loving heart who can appreciate what an exceptional cat she is. We know Dottie's special someone is out there! If you think you’re that person, get yourself over to PAWS during our open hours. Dottie's waiting for you!

A recent visitor told us she was one of his favorite cats here at PAWS. Stop by during our open hours and find out if she's one of your favorites, too! =^.^=

Eva Kitten

Eva Kitten

Eva Kitten's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Female - spayed
Domestic shorthair, dilute calico
DOB: EST 11/4/14

- Should do fine in a home with other cats.
- Probably best in a home with older kids, at least until she has recovered.
- Found with a broken leg as a result of being shot. :-(
- Eva is NOT A KITTEN! She just looks like a kitten because she's teeny.

Eva Kitten’s foster mom says that her broken leg is healing well (no surgery needed), and Eva plays with her toys and darts around the room with no problems. She's tiny and very sweet, and she’s also very calm, so she’ll be perfect for an adopter who’s looking for a mellow, little girl. Her foster mom reports that Eva Kitten's favorite activity is to settle down in her foster mom’s lap and fall asleep while she’s being petted. In short, Eva Kitten is a cat who will make some lucky adopter very, very happy! Hurry on over to PAWS to meet her on Saturday or Sunday.

ADOPTED 1/2/16

- Abandoned. Rescuer was unable to keep her.
- Mom to the League of Their Own Kittens.

Evelyn was discovered abandoned in an apartment with one of her kittens and the kitten’s dad. Three days after she was moved to the home of a PAWS foster, she delivered her second litter of kittens, and this little mom cat was only 15 months old!

Evelyn’s foster mom says Evelyn is reserved but loves to be held and purrs like crazy. She also likes to snuggle in bed, and she's quite chatty! Now that her kittens are older, Evelyn has discovered the kittenhood she never had and is turning into a playful cat!

Evelyn is so over being a mom and would like a furr-ever home where she can be a furr-baby! She’ll be waiting to meet her new person (or persons) on Saturday or Sunday.

- Should do well in a quiet home with kids and with some other cats; dogs unknown. Evey is shy around other cats.
- Surrendered to PAWS.
- A little shy but sweet.

Evey’s foster mom says Evey loves attention so much that she’ll lie down and wiggle her way closer to you so you can give her a good scratching on the head and between the shoulder blades. She loves quiet afternoons lying around next to her foster mom while she watches TV or works in her office.

Evey is so easygoing that she recently allowed volunteers to clip her nails without the slightest hint of protest. If you've ever tried to clip a cat's nails, you'll understand how amazing that is! You can stop by and pet Evey (and admire her manicure) on Saturday or Sunday.

- Should be fine with other cats and with dogs.
- Stray; rescuer was unable to keep him.
- Affectionate with a sweet disposition.

Hi, I’m Felix, and my foster mom and dad said I should tell you about myself. My favorite thing is to have my foster mom and dad scratch my head and neck. I purr and make muffins, and I lean into them so they know I’m happy. After a while, I chew on their fingers very, very gently. I like hidey holes, and I like to sleep in a cozy spot all day.

My foster mom and dad have a cat named Owney, who was adopted from PAWS. They say if I just hang in there, I’ll get adopted, too! I’d like to live in a peaceful, low-key house. I think I’d be OK with quiet, older kids, as long as they’re really gentle with me. I'm definitely a dog-friendly cat!

When PAWS was closed over the holidays, I had a vacation at a different foster's home. He really, really liked me. A LOT! His dog thought I was pretty OK, too!

I'd like to meet you! Please stop by and visit me whenever we're open.

Geometry Kittens

Geometry Kittens

Geometry Kittens' Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Have been spayed or neutered.
DOB: EST 8/12/15

Penn Ta Gone – male. Domestic shorthair, black. Loves to play, leap, and climb. The shyest of the Kittens.

Rex Tangle – male. Domestic shorthair, chocolate brown. A fan of belly rubs.

Sir Kyle – male. Domestic shorthair, gray/black ticked tabby. A snuggly lap kitten who's a good kisser.

Trey Angle – male. Domestic shorthair, black. A wiggly lap kitten who who loves to be petted. The most outgoing.

Polly Gone – female. Domestic shorthair, black.

- Should do well in homes with quiet, older children and other cats; dogs unknown.
- Strays. Rescuer was unable to keep them.
- Cute and playful.

Featured is Rex Tangle.

The Geometry Kittens were a bunch of little rapscallions in their foster home, running and jumping everywhere. But when they visited PAWS on weekends, they became a bunch of bashful boys. So now the Kittens live here full time so visitors can see how much fun they are.

Oh, how their former foster mom misses them! She misses having a lapful of kittens and misses the boys milling about her feet while she petted all four of them at the same time, two with each hand. She says Rex, Penn, and Trey were the climbers, prone to crazy spurts of energy, leaping from one high place to another, while Kyle preferred a lap to a laser.

So don’t run around in circles, pentagons, triangles, or rectangles trying to find the perfect kitten when the perfect kitten is right here waiting for you! You can visit the Geometry Kittens whenever we're open.

- Should do well in a home with kids, other cats, and/or a dog.
- Stray. Rescuer was unable to keep him.
- Affectionate. The perfect kitten for a family.

Grover is the black and white kitten in the above photo.

Here's what Grover's foster mom says about him.

Grover is so adorable! He is an absolute snuggle buddy. He loves being with his human. He will let me hold him all day. He's quite content by my side, and he often follows me around when I'm up and about. He also loves to play.

He seems happy, playful, content, and will make the very best addition to any family. He's the best of both worlds--will play whenever you want to, but will also sit right by your side or let you hold him when you want some quiet time.

If you're looking for the perfect kitten, stop by and meet Grover on Saturday or Sunday!

Note From Gruffen! When one of the volunteers gave me a gentle little poke to wake me up so she could take my picture, I decided I'd try my best to look like a really fierce dragon. So in my photo, I'm being a fierce dragon. Or maybe I was yawning!

Hoover

Hoover

Hoover's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Male - neutered
Domestic shorthair, brown/gray tabby
DOB: EST 3/14/14

- Should do well in a home with other cats; dogs unknown.
- We don't yet know if Hoover gets along with children, but he's friendly and mellow.
- Stray. Rescuer was unable to keep him.

We suspect Hoover may be a Golden Retriever in a furry cat suit. He's that sweet! But even though he's named after a vacuum cleaner, don't expect any help around the house from Hoover! Hoover refuses to help the volunteers clean. We've tried to get him to mop floors at PAWS, and he's been uncooperative. (To be fair, it's hard to hold a dust mop in your paws, and Golden Retrievers don't mop floors either.)

Nevertheless, we're pretty sure Hoover will: sweep you off your feet, drive the cobwebs from your heart, soak up love like a sponge, mop up your tears if you're feeling sad, clean out his food bowl, and chase the dust bunnies under your bed. But, seriously, Hoover is as sweet and gentle as can be!

You can visit Hoover whenever we're open.

Jade has been approved to be an indoor/outdoor cat after adoption, as long as she has access to a safe outdoor space. Please visit PAWS and get to know this pretty girl during our open hours.

Male - neutered
Domestic shorthair, brown/black ticked tabby
DOB: EST 7/8/15

- We don't yet know if Jax gets along with children, other cats, and/or dogs.
- Surrendered to PAWS because he didn't get along with the other cat in his home.

Please stop by and visit Jax during our open hours.

ADOPTED 5/15/16

Jax

Jax

Jax's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Male - neutered
Domestic shorthair, brown/black ticked tabby
DOB: EST 12/9/15

- Should do well in a home with other cats; dogs unknown.
- We don't yet know if Jax will do well with children.
- Stray. Rescuer was unable to keep him.

Jax weighed less than three pounds when he arrived at PAWS, and he's still a little guy. Sometimes he enjoys a good cuddle, although he's quite shy. His foster mom says he's an expert hider, having found a hiding spot under her kitchen cabinets that she didn't know existed. She describes him as, "very smart, very tiny, and very resourceful"!

You can meet Jax on Saturday or Sunday.

ADOPTED 4/7/16

Jazzy

Jazzy

Jazzy's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Female - spayed
Domestic longhair, brown tabby and white
DOB: EST 7/26/12

- Needs to live in a household with at least one other friendly cat.
- Should not be in a household with kids or dogs.
- Returned to PAWS because she was hiding and was not eating.
- Loves hanging out with the other cats at PAWS.

Jazzy is a delightful, friendly, gentle, gorgeous, playful, and very, very sweet cat. She has an endearing little face, a tiny mustache, and long, silky fur. Visitors are drawn to her the moment they walk in the door of the room she shares with a group of other cats.

Jazzy has been adopted three times since she was first surrendered to PAWS in January 2013. However, each time she was adopted, she was returned within a short time because her adopter could not get her to eat or to come out of hiding. We now believe that Jazzy was unable to adjust because she didn't have the companionship of other cats.

We want to be sure that the next time Jazzy is adopted, her new home will be her forever home. Therefore, in addition to needing a patient, kind, exceptionally cat savvy adopter and a quiet household, Jazzy needs a home with at least one other friendly cat. A larger number of friendly cats would be preferable. In fact, if a potential adopter is seeking to adopt an instant cat family, we have plenty of recommendations for amazing PAWS cats Jazzy loves!

Once Jazzy is adopted, a PAWS volunteer will be available to visit every day to help ensure that Jazzy adapts to her new home and continues to eat. If you’re interested in meeting Jazzy, please stop by during our open hours. A PAWS adoption counselor will be happy to discuss Jazzy’s special needs with you.

DOB: EST 5/5/01

- Should do well in a home with other cats and/or dogs.
- We don't yet know if Jeffrey does well with children, but -- wow! -- is he every friendly!
- Owner passed away.

Jeffrey is delightfully gregarious and extraordinarily handsome. Although he likes to snooze under the cages in the Catty Corner when there are no humans around, the moment they appear, Jeffrey pops out from underneath and races to the door to make sure he's first in line for attention and affection. Stop by and shower Jeffrey with love (and get showered with love in return) on Saturday and Sunday!

Jessie

Jessie's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Female - spayed
Black/Brown tabby Manx
DOB: EST 5/24/03

- Should do well in a home with quiet, older children and/or friendly cats; dogs unknown.
- Surrendered because her owner could no longer care for her.

When sweet Jessie came to PAWS, she was one sick kitty, suffering from severe weight loss, an infection, high blood pressure, and blindness due to detached retinas.

At first, Jessie was so apathetic that she simply hunkered down in her cat bed and refused food and water, but after veterinary care and a whole lot of TLC from volunteers, Jessie began to eat and drink. It was a happy day when volunteers discovered that Jessie was up and out of her cat bed! In fact, Jessie has found her purr, and she often can be found exploring the room. If you’d like to visit with Jessie, you’ll find her at PAWS during our open hours.

If you're interested in adopting Jessie, an adoption counselor or a member of our medical staff would be happy to discuss her medical needs with you.

Domestic shorthair, white w/gray tabby tail

- Should do well in homes with teenagers and other cats; dogs unknown.
- Found in the woods by a PAWS volunteer.
- Playful and sweet!

Once a tiny, frightened kitten, Jill is growing more confident. Her foster mom has been working on Jill’s socialization and reports that Jill enjoys being petted gently and sometimes will allow herself to be picked up. She sleeps with her foster mom and dad on a regular basis, and she’s definitely not shy when it comes to treats and food! She adores the adult cats in her foster home and is playful with the other kittens. Jill’s foster mom describes her as “a beautiful, elegant girl, who needs a patient adopter who will enjoy her company and good looks.” Stop by and meet Jill on Saturday or Sunday.

Johnny is full of personality -- funny, friendly, and fast on his feet. He's an awfully handsome guy, too, and he loves petting and attention. He's not a fan of being grabbed or picked up and wouldn't be a good fit for a family with little ones who might want to dress him in doll clothes or drag him about the house, but he's extremely gentle. Kelley's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Female - spayed
Domestic shorthair, torbie
DOB: EST 7/1/07

- Front declawed.
- Should be fine in a home with older, quiet kids.
- Probably would be OK in a home with a passive cat, but would love to be an only cat.
- We don't know if Kelley would get along with a dog.
- Surrendered to PAWS because her owner became ill.
- Loves humans!

Kelley spent the holidays in a foster home, and her foster mom has great things to say about her! Although, Kelley wasn’t a fan of her foster mom’s other cats, she loved everything else about her holiday foster home. Her foster mom reports:

Kelley warmed to me in a day. She is a purr machine and would climb on the bed in her room to cuddle with me. Something tells me that Kelley would love to be someone’s one and only. She doesn’t play with toys by herself, but likes to run around and play with her person. Interactive games and lots of pets and cuddles, along with the occasional spoonful of Fancy Feast, are the ways to this young lady’s heart. It’s a short, sweet and rewarding trip. =^.^=

You can get to know Kelley when you visit PAWS during our open hours.

Kenny is a delightful, affectionate, high-energy, fun-loving, super-smart cat with a sense of adventure! In fact, Kenny hasn't yet encountered a door he doesn't want to zip through to find out what's on the other side. Kenny's determination to explore will make you smile, and you'll revel in his happy personality.

Kenny wouldn't be a good choice for a family with younger kids who might accidentally let him out the door (also Kenny likes to be in charge and can get nippy when he doesn't get his way). But he'd be a great choice for adults or a family with teenagers!

Stop by and play with Kenny during our open hours.

After some initial shyness, he has turned into quite the curious explorer. Although he would definitely prefer to have his human play with him, he can entertain himself as well. Domestic shorthair, gray tabby w/white
DOB: EST 4/23/03

- Should do well in a home with children and/or other cats.

I took her into one of our Meet & Greet rooms, and she was curious, played with toys, and again climbed into my lap. She wasn’t at all stressed out. She doesn't in any way look or act 13 years old. She's a lovely Lady!" Visit PAWS and get nuzzled by Lady! You can meet her whenever we're open.

Ladybug

Ladybug

Ladybug's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Female - spayed
Domestic shorthair, torbie
DOB: EST 11/15/10

- Should do well in a home with children and/or a dog.
- We don't yet know if Ladybug gets along with other cats.
- Stray. Rescuer was unable to keep her.
- Self-confident and friendly.

We think that all you need to know about Ladybug is that after caring for her for a couple of weeks over the holidays, her temporary foster family really, really (really!) wanted to adopt her. Ladybug got along with the whole family, including the dog and a four-year-grandson who visited. Unfortunately, a family member is allergic to cats, so Ladybug's foster dad reluctantly (so reluctantly!) brought her back to PAWS where you (yes,YOU) can apply to adopt her.

If Ladybug sounds like the perfect cat for you, you can visit her whenever we're open.

Leopard

Leopard

Leopard's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Male - neutered
Domestic shorthair, gray tabby
DOB: EST 6/1/14

- Should do well in a home with kids, other cats, and/or dogs.
- Rescuer unable to keep him.
- What a sweet guy!

Leopard is a handsome guy with an affectionate personality who’s a very sad cat right now. Why? Well, until recently, Leopard had a feline best friend named Kob. But Kob was adopted recently, and as far as Leopard is concerned, PAWS has become the Heartbreak Hotel – you know, the one at the end of Lonely Street. It's enough to make Elvis fans cry. :(

If only he could find a home with a new best friend or two, human or feline, Leopard would gladly check out of here, despite all the perks of being a guest at an all-inclusive kitty resort like PAWS -- maid service, gourmet cat food, a kitty treat left on his pillow before bed, and lots of fun wand toy activities.

If you’re interested in being Leopard’s new best friend (or if you have a friendly kitty at home who’d like to be Leopard’s new best friend), all you have to do is stop by whenever we’re open, fill out an application, and be approved to adopt Leopard. When you come back to adopt him, just tell the reservations clerk at the front desk that you're here to help Leopard carry his luggage home!

Once again, it's cloudy with a chance of kittens at PAWS! We sure have had a lot of kittens named after weather over the years. Here's another bunch, and the forecast for playfulness and cuteness looks pretty good.

She loves playtime almost as much as she loves a good petting. She's super curious, and follows me around all the time to investigate what I'm doing, chattering in her little voice the entire time. She's a total sweetheart!"

Stop by to meet her during our open hours. We think you'll be struck by Lightning!

- Should do well in homes with quiet, older children, other cats, and/or dogs.
- Stray. Rescuer was unable to keep Linus or his brother.

Linus’s foster mom says he’s “a puppy stuck in a kitty's body. He loves being with his human…He's a snuggle buddy but also very playful. He will fall asleep in my arms if I hold him but run around like a wild man too.”

Linus has a congenital malformation of his back legs that shows up on an x-ray. You may notice that he’s a little awkward, but he doesn’t need surgery, and he does just fine navigating the world. Linus’s foster mom says he can jump on and off the couch and bed, and he loves chasing a laser dot. She says, “He has no idea his legs are different. He's been no different from any other kitten I've had. He runs, climbs, and doesn't seem to have any issues.” She adds, "Linus will make someone very happy.”

- Should do well in a home with other cats.
- We don't yet know if Lou gets along with children, but he's friendly and gentle.
- Lou is terrified of dogs.
- Stray. Surrendered to PAWS by his rescuer because Lou was afraid of the dog in the rescuer's home.

Lou's foster mom says he's a comic genius and a snuggler!

"It took Lou about 36 hours in the house until his true nature shone through – he acts like he’s cool and sophisticated, but underneath that beautiful black coat is the heart of a kitten! I have been seeing so much jumping and playing! He loves attention – he’s a little hesitant until he gets to know you (took 36 hours….), but he’s all about snuggles, pets and love. He has the sweetest purr, but is otherwise a quiet cat – not a lot of meowing for attention. He is a perfect gentleman, but loves to give kisses and head-butts.

"He is a bit of an acrobat – I have found him in some unusual places – on top of the filing cabinet, sleeping on the top of a tall dresser, etc. He loves to feel snug and will find the tiniest crevice in which to sleep or nap.

"I will try to get video of him if I can – some of his “moves” are absolutely hysterical. He is certainly a different cat here than he is at PAWS."

You can get to know Lou on Saturday or Sunday during our open hours."

- We don't yet know if MacGyver gets along with other cats or dogs.
- Stray. Injured when he was hit by a car.
- Wonderful kitten!

MacGyver's foster mom is nuts about him! "MacGyver is such a great little kitty. He was hit by a car and suffered a broken pelvis and other injuries. The first day I brought him home from the vet hospital, he started purring immediately, and despite his seemingly painful injuries, he immediately trusted me and instantly adapted to his new surroundings. Thankfully, he seems to have fully recovered from his injuries.

"MacGyver is so full of happiness and is just so sweet, despite the tough road he has gone down. He never ever stops purring! Being a kitten, he loves to play with his toys and, though he does like to sleep, when he is awake he is very active. He is very vocal and has a very sweet meow when he is talking to me. When he gets excited or curious about something he chirps, and it’s just adorable! MacGyver never fails to make me smile. He is delightful, and whoever adopts him will be a very lucky person."

Be sure to ask to meet MacGyver when you visit us on Saturday or Sunday. You don't want to miss this sweet boy!

Everyone who meets Nerd falls instantly in love."

While Nerd is not a name we would normally give to a PAWS cat, we named Nerd in honor of the kind person who stopped traffic on a busy road to rescue Nerd after he was hit by a car. The gentleman called himself “Nerd,” but we call him a hero! He carried Nerd from the middle of the road and then worked with other rescuers to save his life.

Nerd has spent a month resting and recovering from his injuries and is finally ready for adoption by his forever person or family. If you’re interested in adopting Nerd, stop by during on Saturday or Sunday to meet him. We unconditionally guarantee that you will fall in love with Nerd, too!

Petal

Petal

Petal's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Female - spayed
Domestic shorthair, brown/black tabby w/white
DOB: EST 4/18/12

- Should do well in a home with kids, other cats, and/or dogs.
- Returned to PAWS because her owner did not have time for her.

Petal is a gentle, sweet-tempered kitty who's happy to be picked up and held. Here is what her former foster mom had to say about her: "Petal is a sweet, serious, quiet, regal lady. She gets along fine with my other cats but seldom leaves the guest room, which is where she has lived since she moved in. Petal isn’t a lap cat but lets me pick her up and hold and pet her. She is sedate and serious and not much into playing. Since she was a stray, I suspect she had a rather tough, serious life. She’ll make someone a wonderful companion. - Mama of the Purple Rain Kittens.

Purrli's foster mom says she LOVES treats! "She is such a sweetie and really thrives when given attention. She has a wonderful purr, and she loves to knead her paws. Purrli prefers to be up high -- an old bathroom rug on top of the filing cabinet gives her a wonderful vantage point in the room. She gets along quite well with her other foster cat roommates – no hissing or growling, no competition for food, toys or attention. Purrli doesn’t mind our Beagle or our resident cat.

Purrli enjoys the scratching pad and plays with toys often. She is not demanding, but she's also not skittish or shy. She has just the right amount of independence but still loves her people. She seems to get along well with everyone she meets. Be careful – she will melt your heart!"

You can stop by and meet Purrli on Saturday or Sunday.

Queenie Bee

Queenie Bee

Queenie Bee's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Female - spayed
Domestic shorthair, black
DOB: EST 4/23/12

- Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive (FIV+)

- Queenie Bee is afraid of dogs.
- Owner moved and was unable to take her along.

If you look up synonyms for "playful" in your thesaurus, one of them is "Queenie Bee"! Also, exuberant, lively, perky, and mischievous. And kittenish! Queenie Bee dives under towels, chases toys, and bats balls about the room. She hops like a bunny, sometimes with a toy clasped between her front paws! We're pretty sure she'd play with the air itself if she could figure out how. Queenie also is tiny and gentle, and we suspect she'd be a very nice family cat. If you're looking for a kitty to make you smile, be sure you meet Queenie Bee when you visit during our open hours.

Happy to be goin' home with her PAWS roommate, handsome Riley!

- A good kitten for a family!

Rainier’s foster mom says he’s silly and playful, a gymnast who rolls over and over and even performs somersaults! AND he plays fetch! When his foster mom throws a toy, Rainier will chase it down, capture it, and bring it back to her over and over and over again.

Rainier absolutely loves to be petted and, with a bit of coaxing, he will sit next to his foster mom until he gets nice and comfy and settles down for a nap.

If you’re looking for a cute, affectionate little gymnast who thinks he’s a puppy, Rainier might be the kitten for you! You can meet Rainier on Saturday or Sunday.

- Stray. Rescuer was unable to keep him.

Randy will be a fantastic pet for someone who wants a cat who thinks he's a dog! Randy is a big, mellow guy, who’s very friendly with people and who loves to talk. Before he became a stray, Randy obviously was used to being an indoor cat who got a lot of attention and affection. Love him, and Randy will want to hang out with you all the time. If a trip to Nashville isn't in your immediate future, visit during our open hours and meet Randy and the rest of our country music stars!

ADOPTED 4/2/16

Rayquaza

Rayquaza

Rayquaza's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Male - neutered
Domestic shorthair, black
DOB: EST 8/30/15

- Should do well in a home with adults or teenagers and adults.
- Should do well with certain other cats; dogs unknown.
- Abandoned by his owner.

Rayquaza (who’s named after a Pokemon video game character) is round, warm, and cuddly. He’s also friendly, lively, playful, wiggly, inquisitive, comical, and adorably cute. We think he may be a lap cat when he’s a little older and more inclined to stay in one place for more than 30 seconds at a time! We have lots more good things we could tell you about Ray, but we think you should come in and see for yourself what a wonderful teenage kitten he is!

Please note that although Rayquaza is a sweet guy when he has all four paws on the floor, he does NOT like to be picked up and carried. Therefore, he should not be in a home with young children.

ADOPTED 8/5/16

- Should do well in a home with adults or teenagers and adults.
- We don't yet know if Riley gets along with other cats or with dogs.
- Stray. Rescuer was unable to keep him.

Riley is a handsome boy, who turns into a big puddle of love when he's petted, but sometimes Riley gets riled and nips when he's petted for too long or when he doesn't get his way, so he will do best in a home with adults or adults and teenagers who will be sensitive to signs that he's had enough. Stop by during our open hours and have a good time getting to know Riley!

Riley goin' home with his friend and roommate, Queenie Bee!

ADOPTED 7/18/16

Ringo

Ringo

Ringo's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Male - neutered
Domestic medium hair, black/gray ticked tabby
DOB: EST 3/28/16

- Should do well in a home with children, other cats, and/or dogs.
- Stray. Rescuer was unable to keep him and his brothers.

Ringo is the kitten in the middle.

Ringo was a member of the famous PAWS Beatles Kittens. John, Paul, and George were adopted, but Ringo's still waiting. :(

We don't know why because Ringo's foster mom says he's a cuddle bunny -- an affectionate lap kitten! AND he's also a playful little clown!

With a little help from his friends (that's YOU!), Ringo could get an application this very weekend! Remember -- Ringo wrote, "Don't Pass Me By," so "Open up your heart" and "Use a little love" and give this sweet little guy a chance!

ADOPTED 9/4/16

Juliet's looking for Romeo, but we know YOU are looking for a couple of tiny, cute kittens. You can find tiny, terrifically cute kittens, as well as bigger, terrifically cute kittens, at PAWS on Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.

ADOPTED 12/11/16 - Romeo and Juliet

Rook

Rook

Rook's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Male - neutered
Domestic shorthair, dark orange tabby
DOB: EST 11/25/12

- Should do well in a home with kids and other cats; dogs unknown.
- Stray. Rescuer was unable to keep him
- Friendly and very handsome!

Rook is a mellow, easygoing guy who gets along with kids, cats, and...pigs! This is what Rook's foster mom told us about Rook's stay in her home over the holidays.

Rook is a very sweet cat who loves people and attention. He loved sleeping in bed with us, and he loved looking out the window. He preferred lounging around and being petted to playing with toys. Rook got along with our cat (who has a dominant personality) and our pig. He met my younger cousins who are around 1-5 years old, and he did fine with them. I think he would be a good cat for a family with kids or for an adult who wants a lap cat to hang out with.

You can stop by and get to know Rook during our open hours.

ADOPTED 1/16/16

RoRo

- Should do well in a home with children and/or other cats; dogs unknown.

WE ARE CENTRE COUNTY PAWS!

ADOPTED 5/6/16

Rosa

Rosa

Rosa's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Female - spayed.
Domestic shorthair, gray/black tabby w/white
DOB: EST 1/27/12

- Rosa sometimes gives love bites when she's overstimulated, so she'll do best in a home with teenagers or in a home with no children.
- Best as an only cat.
- Should do well in a home with a cat-friendly dog who respects her space. Otherwise, fur will fly!
- Abandoned. Found in a box at a local business.

Rosa's foster mom says she's a great cat who likes to be the one who makes the rules. She's playful and enjoys attention and petting, as long as it's on her own terms. She would be contented in a home where her person is out a fair amount of the time.

Be sure to visit Rosa at PAWS on Saturday or Sunday and at Centre Hall Pet Supply Tuesday through Friday. (Rosa leaves for Centre Hall on Monday evenings, so you won’t always find her at PAWS.)

ADOPTED 12/17/16

Ruby

Ruby

Ruby's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Female - spayed
Domestic shorthair, calico
DOB: EST 2/9/15

- Should do well in a home with calm, somewhat older kids and other cats; dogs unknown.
- Surrendered to PAWS because her owner could no longer care for her.
- Playful, loving, and enjoys other cats.

Ruby's foster mom says:

Ruby is one of the cutest, most affectionate cats I’ve ever fostered. She loves to purr and rub against our legs. Ruby is quite the talker, and one of her favorite topics of conversation is how much she’d like some canned food! She spends hours chasing little mice and flinging a ball around, and she loves my other cats.

I believe she’d do best with calm, older children, as too much going on makes her nervous, and, although she can be picked up, it has to be on her terms.

Ruby stays quietly in her cage when she's at PAWS, so be sure you don't miss her when you visit PAWS on Saturday or Sunday!

ADOPTED 2/4/16

Rusty

Rusty

- Should do well in a home with children and/or some dogs.
- Rusty doesn't get along with other cats.
- Surrendered to PAWS because he wasn't getting along with the other cat in his home.

Rusty is a truly delightful cat. He's a talker, but he's polite, even-tempered, and seems to be very patient with young children. He gets bonus points for being quite handsome! We know you'll like Rusty, so don't delay. Visit Wiscoy for Animals and ask to meet him.

ADOPTED 6/22/16

Ruthie

Ruthie

Ruthie's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Female - spayed
Domestic shorthair, torbie w/white
DOB: EST 6/18/11

- Should do well in a home with older children.
- Would not do well in a home with other cats.
- We don't know if Ruthie would do well with a dog.
- Owner moved and was unable to take her along.

Ruthie's former foster mom said:

"Ruthie is such a sweetheart! Her second favorite thing to do investigate every space, high or low, for potential napping spots. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle, especially if you pet her, and ESPECIALLY if you rub under her chin. She'll start purring up a storm and making muffins with her little white paws to show her appreciation. Sometimes she gives little love bites, but they're more cute than painful, and we're working on stopping that. She loves to sleep in bed with me at night, so she would be perfect for someone who's looking for a loving kitty companion to keep them company!"

You can meet Ruthie whenever we're open.

ADOPTED 9/2/16

Shirley Temple's foster mom's report:

But not before she jumped up herself, gave lots of pets and purrs, and simply made herself at home. She slept in bed with me for a while last night, and was nearby, but not all over me.

"She is fine with her foster brother, but her foster sister hisses at her, which she doesn’t like. However, the three of them play CONSTANTLY! She is fine with other animals, as long as she is the one to make the first move."

If you'd like to meet Shirley Temple, stop by on Saturday or Sunday. When you've fallen in love, just ask a volunteer for an application to adopt her!

DOB: EST 3/9/15

- Should do well in a home with kids, other cats, and/or dogs.
- Rescuer was unable to keep him or his sister, Amelia.
- Gregarious, affectionate, and playful.

Simon is a happy guy! He gets so excited when he meets a human that he makes muffins on the floor as if he's dancing with enthusiasm. His former foster mom says he's a lap cat who was her shadow around the house. He spent his first few months around small children, and we think he'd be a perfect family pet -- a sturdy, older kitten who's playful and lots of fun. Don't miss Simon when you visit PAWS. He'll be waiting to meet you whenever we're open.

ADOPTED 1/31/16

Sonny

Should do well in a home with older children or with younger children if they're calm and quiet.
- Should do well in a home with other cats.
- Would not do well with a dog.
- Owner passed away.

Sonny is a unique guy in many ways. He's exceptionally purry and handsome; he has a "lion cut" (he was matted when he arrived at PAWS, so he had to be shaved); he loves it when a volunteer sits next to him and patiently stacks pieces of dry food into little piles for him to eat; and he has three legs. However, don't think of Sonny as having "only" three legs; think of Sonny as having one more leg than a human!

Sonny is affectionate and friendly and he'll be waiting to meet you when you visit during our open hours.

She loves our dog and loves the people in the house even more! She isn’t loud and obnoxious when she wants attention – but she wants it all the time. She likes her toys, but loves to be petted. She gets along with other cats, so any household where she can love and be loved would be ideal for her."

Domestic shorthair, torbie
DOB: EST 11/20/13

- Should do well in a home with quiet, older kids and other cats; dogs unknown.
- Owner was no longer able to care for her.

Spice is a sweet, little girl who desperately wants to be loved, but she's so timid that when you reach out to pet her, she’s likely to shrink away from your touch or scoot to a safe place under the cat tree. But we've discovered that, if approached quietly, Spice enjoys attention and petting very much.

We believe that with time, patience, and love from her adopter, Spice will be an affectionate companion and a lifelong friend. If you have the love and the patience, please stop by and give Spice a chance to show you what a dear cat she is. You can get to know Spice whenever we’re open. ADOPTED 2/2/16

Swordfish

Swordfish

Swordfish's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Female - spayed
Domestic shorthair, calico
DOB: EST 2/2/10

- Should do well in a home with kids and dogs.
- Enjoys one-on-one attention and would love being an only cat.
- Stray; rescuer was unable to keep her.

Swordfish is a friendly girl with gorgeous green eyes and silky, soft fur. She absolutely LOVES humans (other cats, not so much!). Her favorite activities are being petted, swatting her wand toys, and munching kitty treats. Swordfish would be the perfect pet for an adopter who wants an affectionate, loyal companion.

Swordfish recently returned from a two-week holiday vacation at a PAWS volunteer’s home. Here’s what Swordfish told us about her vacation: “My holiday foster mom was SO NICE to me. It didn’t take me long to settle in and feel right at home, and in five days, I was snuggling with her at night! I’m kind of sad to be back at PAWS again, except that when she brought me back, my foster mom said, ‘Swordfish, you’ve been here since 2014. That’s a long, long time, but 2016 is going to be THE YEAR OF SWORDFISH, and you’re going to find your forever home’! So when you visit PAWS to find your new best friend, ask for me, Swordfish. I'll be waiting to meet you whenever PAWS is open, and I'm really easy to find. After you enter the Cat Wing from the lobby, I'm in the third room on your left!”

- Stray. Rescuer was unable to keep her.

Sylvia's former foster mom reports that she's sweet, playful, and loves feather toys. Sylvia can be just a bit nippy, so she's not the best choice for a family with young children, but her fellow foster kittens are hard at work teaching her to be gentle! Be sure to ask for Sylvia when you visit us on Saturday or Sunday.

We had a great weekend here at PAWS when the THON Kids came for a visit! While they were here, they named three kittens (Apollo, Sally, and Sparkle Toes), plus Diamond and Dipper. We LOVE the names, and you'll LOVE the kittens and cats!

We often hear from visitors that they don't want a long-haired cat because they have to be brushed a lot, and it's true that long-haired cats need to be brushed regularly to prevent matting. BUT brushing your cat really is just petting your cat with a brush attached to your hand!

The important thing is whether a long-haired cat likes to be brushed, and Tiger LOVES to be brushed. Tiger rolls over and begs to have his tummy brushed. He is enraptured while he's being brushed. Adopt Tiger, and you'll find that it's fun to brush him! He looks silly! You will laugh. You will be enraptured, too. Before you know it, you will beg Tiger to let you brush him. It will be the best part of your day.

You can stop by and gently brush (or comb) Tiger whenever we're open.

Tinker & Belle

Tinker & Belle

Tinker & Belle's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Females - spayed
DOB: EST 3/1/14

Tinker - black Persian with small white locket
Belle - black Persian

- Should do well in homes with children, other cats, and/or dogs.
- Surrendered to PAWS because owner was no longer able to care for them.
- A bonded pair.

At left is a photo of Tinker with her trendy "lion cut," which was necessary to remove matted fur. We think she looks cute, but her lion cut will grow out soon, and she'll once again be a furry little girl!

Cats can become deeply attached to each other and form strong bonds, just like humans do. Tinker and Belle have formed such a bond. If separated, they would be miserable. Therefore, Tinker and Belle are a package deal – a bonded pair who must be adopted together.

Adopting these wonderful girls is a win-win situation for all of you! The girls will live happily ever after together and you will have two kitties who already get along and who will keep each other company when you're not home so you won't worry that they're bored or lonely. Best of all, you'll have twice the amount of love in your life!

Tinker and Belle will be waiting to meet you whenever we're open.

Tippy

Tippy

Tippy's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Female - spayed
Domestic shorthair, brown tabby w/white feet
DOB: EST 9/1/15

- Should do well in a home with children, other cats, and/or dogs.
- Born to a stray mom. Rescuer was unable to keep her kittens.

Tippy's foster mom says:

"Tippy is an energetic “teenage” kitten. Curious and active, she is somewhat of an alpha-cat. She takes the dominant role with her new foster kitten sibling and tends to do a lot of hissing and batting at new arrivals. After a day or two, she makes friends, and she is frequently seen snuggling with her foster brother while they nap. She absolutely loves to play – toys, laser pointers, wands – she loves them all. She has a bit of a tendency to play-bite, but she is gentle and has mostly broken the habit. She likes to be held, but on her terms, and only for a few minutes at a time. She isn’t happy in a cage at PAWS – she loves to run and jump and is extremely active. She loves other cats but is hesitant with dogs – if she were exposed to a dog on a regular basis, though, she would easily become fast friends. She has a lovely purr and is a happy girl. She would do well in a home with other cats."

Female - spayed
Domestic shorthair, tortie
DOB: EST 3/1/13

- Should do well in a home with somewhat older children and other cats; dogs unknown.
- Stray. Rescuer was unable to keep her.
- A little bundle of fun!

When visitors come to PAWS looking for a cat, they often tell us the traits they’re looking for. We decided to turn the tables and ask Tori what she’s looking for in an adopter. Tori said she wants an adopter who:

- Speaks meow fluently. I am a talker!

- Appreciates a cat who's a little bit bossy. I will speak up and remind my adopter when it’s mealtime, playtime, and petting-Tori time.

- Thinks I’m really cute because I’m curious, friendly, and kind of comical. I growl if I see my reflection in something, and I chatter at the birds outside the window to let them know when their turn is up at the bird feeder.

- Will provide everything on my list of preferred toys, including, but not limited to: peacock feathers, wand toys, boxes with tissue paper inside, and stuffed mice.

- Has LOTS of energy to play with me. My former foster said I could play for 45 minutes before she gave up and had to go do other things!

- Has a lap I can use when it suits me. I’m not actually a lap cat, but when I’m worn out after playing, I don’t mind being picked up and plopped onto a lap for a snooze.

Be sure to meet Tori when you visit during our open hours.

No food or litterbox issues at all, and has produced the requisite poop/pee! We have playtime and lots of petting every day. Very purry and talkative, and sits on my lap when I'm on the computer. Male - neutered
Domestic shorthair, gray tabby
DOB: EST 3/29/16

- Should do well in a home with children, other cats, and/or dogs.
- Stray. Rescuer was unable to keep him.

Walter is the kitten at the far left.

Walter's foster mom loves him! She says:

"Walter is the whole package. He likes to play & snuggle, and if I sit down for even one minute he is on my lap. He follows me through the house and sleeps on me at night. If I am out of his sight he lets out a little noise and I just say his name (he knows it is Walter) and he comes running and he purrs. He loves to give little love nibbles on your nose but it doesn't hurt. He loves to play with the other cats, milk rings, hair ties and all the other toys at the house."

We think Walter would be perfect for a family with young children because he's a slightly older, sturdy kitten. Be sure you ask to see Walter when you visit PAWS on Saturday or Sunday.

Willie's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

- Front declawed.
- Should do well in a home with children and/or some other cats.

And purrs while he's playing and hanging out and napping because that's what you do when you're a cat, especially if you're a pleasant, well-mannered, older gentleman.

Stop by the Catty Corner at PAWS whenever we're open, have a seat on the bench, and listen to Willie's soothing rumble. The only thing more relaxing would be a warm bath, a cup of tea, and a good book. =^.^=

Please be aware that Willie has some special medical needs that an adoption counselor or a member of our medical staff would be happy to discuss with you if you're interested in adopting him.

Wolfgang

Wolfgang

Wolfgang's Bio at the Time of Adoption:

Male – neutered
Domestic shorthair, black
DOB: EST 7/12/15

- Should do well in a home with quiet, older children and/or other cats.
- May do well with a calm, laid-back dog.
- Stray. Rescuer was unable to keep him.

Hello,

My name is Wolfgang. The volunteers here at PAWS said I should tell you all about myself. They said that once you get to know me, you’re sure to love me as much as they do, and then you’ll want to take me home to be your furry boy.

The first thing you should know about me is that I'm kind of shy. My sisters and I were stray kittens, and we were rescued by a nice person, but that person couldn't keep us, so we came to PAWS. It was a lot to happen to a little kitten, so I was scared. But the volunteers petted me gently and gave me lots of treats. They didn't mind when I hid underneath my bed and when I rolled myself into a little ball and pretended no one could see me! They just told me I was handsome and sweet. =^.^=

So, I’m braver now, and I like to have my head scratched gently and my shoulders rubbed. My favorite things are to watch the dogs being walked outside and snuggling with my best friend, Professor Cat Face. I still get scared if it gets noisy or if I think someone’s going to grab me, but I don’t hiss or growl, and I would never, ever hurt anyone!

If you have a quiet house and maybe a friendly cat or two, and if you're nice and you want a sweet boy like me, please visit me at PAWS whenever we're open. I'll be waiting to meet you!

Love,
Wolfgang

Hooray! Went home with best bud, Professor Cat Face! :)
